EVERYONE CAN READ THE BIBLE!

Everyone can read the Bible! If you’re new to reading the Word or if you’re in need of a jump start, you’re not
alone. Look below to find ways to read on your own or find a group that meets and study the Bible with others!

GET SOMETHING GREAT!
God wrote the Bible with you in mind. He wants you to understand it! Try these simple steps to help understand any passage in the Bible:

1. Pray
Prayer is always a wonderful way to begin reading! Ask God to give you the understanding and wisdom see wonderful things in His Word. (Psalm 119:18)

2. Read
You can begin anywhere! There’s no right or wrong way to do it! You can read the Bible straight through or skip around, read a few verses a day or read entire chapters.

Some passages are easier to understand than others. That’s ok. If you’re puzzled by what you read, write down your questions. Ask someone who is familiar with the Bible to answer them or send an e-mail to our Bible study leaders. We’d love to wrestle with the text with you!

3. Reflect
Consider carefully what you read. Ask questions like:
    •  What does this section teach me about God?
    •  What does this section teach me about people or myself?
    •  How does God want me to respond to what He's teaching me?

4. Respond
Reading the Bible is an interactive experience. God speaks to us…and we respond. (James 1:22) You might feel led to pray, to give thanks, to acknowledge you’ve done something wrong, or be moved to act in some way. When you read and respond to God’s Word, your life will fill with purpose like you’ve ve never known before.

We would love to hear what God is doing in your life! To share what you’re reading and learning, send us an e-mail!
